About Veronica Valenzuela

Veronica is an Austin-based attorney with over twenty years of experience in litigation in multiple areas of law.  Veronica is a first generation Mexican-American.  She was raised in Odessa, Texas in a bi-cultural environment with Spanish as her first language.  After graduating from Permian High School (“Friday Night Lights”), Veronica attended the University of Texas in San Antonio, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice.  Thereafter, Veronica attended St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio and earned her Juris Doctorate (her law degree) in 2003.  

While in law school, Veronica clerked for the Thirteenth Court of Appeals of Texas and for the United States Western District of Texas.  She also served as a Senior Editor for St. Mary’s School of Law Journal and represented St. Mary’s School of Law in Moot Court Competition. 

Veronica started her practice of law in McAllen, Texas.  She worked in commercial and bankruptcy litigation for two years before moving to a small personal injury law firm looking to become a high-volume practice.  In 2008, Veronica opened up her own law practice (V.Valenzuela Law Firm, PLLC).  Veronica continued to focus on personal injury law but, as her practice became more about the people that she represented than the areas of law that she practiced, Veronica expanded her practice to include family, general business law, criminal law and estate planning/probate.  At the end of 2016, Veronica and her husband made the decision to move to Austin and make it their home.  Upon moving to Austin, Veronica joined Daniel Stark, P.C., a high-volume personal injury, only, law firm.  

In 2023, Veronica decided to reopen V.Valenzuela Law Firm, PLLC, and build it into a client-oriented law firm that values quality over quantity, that is transparent, sincere and honest, that gives attention to details and that can guarantee its clients that they are getting the representation that they deserve – every step of the way.
